Hello everyone, I’m Huaye Mao, an independent developer focused on building minimalist, elegant, and efficient productivity tools.
Today, I’d like to share my latest creation—LogoDash. Its slogan is “Create beautiful logos in a dash,”. This tool is designed for independent developers and creators who value efficiency. With no design experience required, you can quickly generate gradient-style icons that adapt to both light and dark modes, helping your product launch faster.
As a developer specializing in minimalist productivity tools, I’ve built five apps in the past month. However, what often delays a product’s launch isn’t unfinished features—it’s the lack of a simple, visually appealing logo.
Since my tools often have both web and desktop versions, a clear, high-quality icon is essential. Yet, I’ve found myself hesitating to release a product just because the logo “isn’t perfect enough.” Many independent developers can probably relate to this struggle.
I don’t have a professional design background, and creating cohesive, visually appealing logos for multiple apps is challenging. My ideal solution? A tool that lets me customize existing templates, swap out icon elements, and fine-tune the design quickly. That’s why I built Logo Dash.
I wanted logos that weren’t just visually appealing but also practical. For example, they needed to stand out in dark mode taskbars, where dark icons can blend into the background. A bright or gradient background solves this issue.
Logo Dash currently focuses on gradient background templates, offering a light, modern look while ensuring usability across different scenarios.
In practice, I often don’t even know which icon best represents my product. That’s why, in addition to manual icon selection and color adjustments, I added a “Random Generate” feature.
You don’t need a clear direction from the start. Just click to generate random options, and inspiration might strike. This is the kind of effortless experience I wanted Logo Dash to provide—no pressure, just play around, and ideas will come naturally.
If you’re preparing to launch a project and need a quick logo—without learning design from scratch or dealing with the unpredictability and cost of AI tools—give Logo Dash a try.
It may not deliver a bespoke, high-end design, but it will help you create a clean, functional, and versatile logo in the shortest time possible. For new products, “launch now” is often more important than “launch perfect.”
Whether it’s for a website, mini-program, or app, a logo that doesn’t hold you back can help you take that final step toward launch faster.
